Since when do they give away the whole season at the very beging of the first episode?

Check your office pools, who had under 5 minutes before Des’s first starts to cry? It’s going to be a wet season.

Did the bachelorette get a new house? I like the digs. Overlooking Pepperdine, and, wait, “this that the ocean?”.

Do you think she gets to keep that car? No wonder people go on this show for the wrong reasons.

The first episode is basically a do/don’t on pickup lines. Take notes gentlemen.

That awkward moment when you think you are being smooth and you rip her dress.

Speaking of that dress, it looked like a debit card and a disco ball offspring.

The custom tailor could have stepped up his suite game a little more.

Knight in shining armor; good thought, bad execution.

Dude that got down on one knee to tie his shoe, nailed it. Well played (golf clap).

 Bold move bringing your kid, still figuring this one out.

I can’t even fathom what it must be like to walk into a room with 25 guys clapping for your presence.

Berkeley doctor guy can’t decide if he wants his glasses on or off.

I repeat, there are no fantasy suites on the first night!

The Bachelor - Week 8

Girls Tell All:

Ok, so this is my least favorite episode of the season. This is the case for several reasons:

1. The recap the whole season, in extreme detail. Hellllooooo, I obviously have tuned in every week faithfully and do not need this extended recap.

2. By this point, every juicy dirty secret that wasn't shown on the show I have read in the checkout line at Safeway, courtesy of my reliable source US weekly.

Therefore, I have to be honest when I say that I did not watch the whole thing. Sorry to disappoint.

The Bachelor - Week 7

And we're down to the final three...

Gia's Date - I loved there date walking around the market, him buying her little keepsakes, she seemed like she was having a lot of fun. When it showed Jake dancing though, o.m.g. I was on the floor laughing. What sort of "air chair, hip thrust, swaying, arms in the air" dance move was that?! Best part is, they showed that clip later in the episode again! (What would dancer Tenly think of this horrendous move?) Then their romantic dinner on the beach was very nice. I think that Gia just couldn't say the words that she needed to though. I personally really like Gia. I think she seems the most "real" with the whole journey (as they so often refer to it as). Completely unrelated to the show. I seriously WANT Gia's hair.

Tenly's Date - I thought this was the more boring of the dates as far as activities go. Tenly talks a lot. And it's all very "us in the future" talk. I realize that that is what Jake is wanting, but at the same time, its a little like woa. Also, as it was so brilliantly put, Tenly's Ex has gotten the most air time out of anyone. She constantly is talking about him. Ugggghhhh. BIG RED FLAG!! She is not over her divorce that happened less than a year ago. Jake is the next person she has dated. Divorce then marry the next guy you date? Just doesn't seem realistic to me (then again, I am no expert).

Vienna's Date - I kind of liked the pirate ship thing. I thought it looked pretty fun! And I don't think that date would have fit better with the other girls. It worked with him and Vienna. I think that Vienna has some sort of sex crazed vodoo on Jake. Where are his morals that he speaks so strongly of at the beginning? Vienna sends them packing. For whatever reason he really likes Vienna. She is crazy though.

Ali's Phone Call - Sorry Charlie. I think it was good of Jake to say no to her coming back. Sucks for her, but really that is just how the show works. You made a choice, now you have to stick with it. Sorry it didn't work out like Ed.

In the end it was Gia that was sent home. I think I would have sent Tenly home, based solely on the fact that I do not think she is over her divorce. I think the final three episode would be the hardest to go home from. I am so excited to see what happens in the next two weeks!

The Bachelor - Week 6

The Bachelor – Week 6

Hometown dates. I am going to try my hardest not to make fun of the families, for two reasons, they weren’t really the one’s who signed up with intentions of being on TV, therefore should be scrutinized less, and also no one has a story book family, no one.

Ok, starting us of on the hometown dates was Gia in beautiful New York, New York. I liked there date. I think that she is very fun and playful with him, taking pictures and such. Her mom seemed a little crazy. I don’t love that she was full heartedly encouraging her that Jake loved her and there would be a wedding. First off, you just met the guy, and you KNOW that he is dating 3 other women. I personally wouldn’t be that optimistic (and that goes to almost all the mothers on this episode). There didn’t seem to be that great of chemistry between her family and his, but then again I think that just goes back to Jake being awkward. I loved the kissing on the stoop at the end of the episode, so sex in the city.

Next on the chopping block was Ali. Ali looked super cute for their date. I think it was special that she took him to her grandmother’s house, however, that might not be the thing I would do with a “new” boyfriend. It meant a lot to her so don’t you think you would save that for someone you knew would be around. I guess if it was me, I would keep my hometown date light and fun, because meeting my family would be intense enough (sidenote – not even sure what I would do for fun with Jake in Blackfoot, ID, go to WalMart maybe?). Ali’s mom seemed a little monotone and boring to me, and same thing with Gia’s family, already planning their wedding.

Following Ali’s hometown was Tenly. I thought this hometown date was the most awkward. I get dance, as I used to be a dancer, but that was kind of awkward, maybe because of the cameras. You could tell she was nervous too. Also, Jake was totally feed the line, “she preformed a lyrical number…” No guy knows that that was a ‘lyrical’. No (straight) guy. I liked Tenly’s dad! He seemed like a really good guy that was smart and not too caught up in the ‘show’ aspect of it. I liked that he asked Jake if what they saw on TV from the Bachelorette was who he really is and not the way TV was making him see. Seems like a very valid question. I think that Tenly and Jake have the least physical attraction. And on a completely unrelated note, my family used to have that same dining table was Tenly’s family.

Finally, Vienna. The way she talked about her ‘daddy buying her new cars’ all the time, I was kind of expecting a much nicer looking home and living style. Her dad, a little crazy. For some reason I feel like he is the most physically attracted to Vienna. At least things weren’t super “mushy” with her family as they were with the others. (Sidenote – I am guessing Vienna tries to sleep with Jake on the overnight next week).

Then came the Ali drama. I do feel really bad for her. What a shitty (excuse my language) decision to have to make. And I think that you could tell it was sincerely hard for her to make that decision. I think that she made her decision to go home based on reality and facts. Jake did seem pretty torn up about it, but man did he shake it off by the time he got back upstairs. Almost disturbing how quickly he seems over it. I think Ali was regretting her decision as she drove away, but I think either way she would have had regrets. Have fun in the office on Monday, Ali.

All and all I would have to say that this was one of the more entertaining episodes in this dry season. Can’t wait to see who goes home next week. Prediction it is either Gia or Tenly. What did you all think?

The Bachelor - Week 5

I was recently asked which one of the girls left on the Bachelor was my favortie, my response, "none?"

Date 1 - China town. I thought this date was actually pretty cute. I loved the fortune cookie part. That was just presh! I think that Tenly and him have some good chemistry. However, I feel like she talks about her ex everytime they are together or she is being interviewed. Red flag? Her voice still kind of sends me over the edge.

Date 2 - 2 on 1. First off, I thought it was hilarious when Corrie read the card as Ali and Vienna to go on the date together. Funny stuff right there. I loved the place they went to for this date. Very beautiful. I thought that Vienna was being annoying towards Gia though. I agree with the girls that sometimes she says thing that she really doesn't need to be saying. I thought it was awkward that Vienna brought up Ali at the last rose ceremony with Gia there. I just think that is a conversation to have when you are alone. Gia and him were cute when they had there alone time. Kind of seemed like school kids flirting. When Vienna went looking for them, I was just like really?! I think she is insecure. Then when she got up to go see Jake later that night, and she TOLD Gia where she was going, ummm wow Vienna. I don't know what she was trying to accomplish by pulling that stunt. And I don't think there was much accomplished, expect she learned the halls of the winery pretty well. I was dying of laughter when Jake annouced he had "dirty thoughts". Haha. Oh boy.

Date 3 - Row boats and Science Centers. I think Corrie is cute, but they just didn't really have that great of chemisty. Especially on the row boat. It all seemed a little awkward. I wasn't too surprised that she went home. I was kind of shocked she was a virgin, to be honest.

Date 4 - Home court advantage. I actually liked Ali on this date. When she is with the other girls, I don't like her, alone with Jake I do. She also drived me crazy when he was asking her about last weeks rose ceremony, she kind of denied blowing up about Vienna. When last week she was all like, "I have to tell Jake, I have to tell him about her, blah blah blah".

So Tenly, Vienna, Gia, and Ali are the final four.

The Bachelor - Week 4

Alright, week 4. Here we go...First one on one date I thought was cute. I would love to have a picnic on a vineyard. Also I like that Gia is fun and wants to play games. Makes Jake seem less awkward to be around, because let's face it, he is kinda an awkward cheeseball. I think that Gia is so pretty and bubbly and cute. However I don't know if she is "the one" for Jake.

Group date was alright. I didn't really find anything to special. I am glad that Corrie got out of her shell an little and flirted more with Jake. However, did anyone else think it was super awkward when they were rolling down the sandy hill? Later on the group date when Ashleigh and him had their alone time, it was painful to watch. They weren't really even talking at all. He would be like, "So what's new?" and she would answer with "I don't know, what's new?" Just a real lack of chemistry if ya ask me.

2 on 1 date. First off let me say that I absolutely love 2 on 1 dates. So intense and cut throat. Nothing special about this date. I feel like I could have set up that dinning situation in my parents dining room, just sayin. I was a little shocked that he sent both girls home. It was really retarded that he threw the rose into the fire, dun dun dun... How dramatic! Haha. Also, I didn't love that Kathryn was trying to argue with him to stay, as if it were going to change his mind?

Ok, that big discussion point Vienna... She is really pissing some of the girls off. However, I think that they are kind of being mean to her too, ALWAYS talking behind her back. Ali really needs to stop obsessing over Vienna. Focus on Jake, Ali! Vienna seems nervous and to be honest I would be too. If I knew that the other girls were talking shit about me to Jake, heck yeah I'd be nervous!

Alright, here is my run down on the girls on this week's episode:

Ashleigh: (eliminated) Not surprised, she was pretty quiet and nothing to impressive.
Jessie: (eliminated) Can we say friend zone? And at the risk of sounding shallow, not too cute either.
Ella: (eliminated) I think she was a bit too advanced in life for Jake. I honestly don't think Jake wants to marry a woman that already has a child.
Kathryn: (eliminated) Did not go out with style. Nice girl, but what can ya do.
Corrie: Cute girl, fun personality. I like her.
Tenly: I think she will be around for a long time. Her voice kind of drives me crazy though.
Ali: Causing lots and lots of drama. I don't care for that too much.
Vienna: Twitchy eys and deer in the headlights look. She's shaking in her boots.

Ok... one more thing. Remember last season how Jake was the one trying to tell Jillian that Wes was not a good guy for her, well isn't that exactly what these girls are trying to do with Jake. Hello!

The Bachelor - Week 3

I've decided to give weekly updates on my thoughts of ABC's addicting show, The Bachelor. It's already week three but here are my thoughts on this Monday's episode.

Ok... here we go.

1st one on one date was a little cheesey. I'm not a big fan of heights either, but really? Shaking and damn near crying. That sounds like the worst date ever. Last time I checked dates are suppose to be fun and romantic. But then again I am not expert on dates (as I can't really remember my last one). Vienna seems awkward with him. But I think that could just be Jake, because nobody's conversations with him are all that smooth, if you will. I also don't really don't know what exactly it is that she is doing wrong in the house? Obviously the cameras are showing us everything, but I really having found her doing something god awful to the other girls. I think that the other girls are super jealous and are kind of picking on her. Especially Ali, which makes me sad because I did like her.

One on one date number two was alright. Nothing to spectacular about him and that southern bell to me. I'm not a mom, but the whole bringing the kid on to the show seems a little drawn out to me. It makes the date more about the kid then getting to know her. Maybe if it was later into the show, it would be more appropriate/meaningful. It's like "hi I met your kid, but we may or may not even last through the next week".

Group date, can I say adios crazy girl?! She basically said she was leaving and then when he agreed she freaked out. Whatever... she was giving me anxiety anyway. I think that it is good Jake didn't give out a rose on the group date though. Having a girl leave and not really being in the mood kind of makes giving out a rose a little forced.

The won't kiss girl IS being a tease. I fully agree with Jake on this one. She was giving crazy mixed signals. I also think it's dumb that she wouldn't kiss him till her put a ring on her finger. Who does that?!? She was very pretty and I think she had a decent personality, but she couldn't get things figured out.

The other girl that went home, who was that?! She hardly ever got on the camera. Did she even have an interview?

All and all, an okay episode. I just wish things weren't so cheesey. Is it just me or have the past seasons not THIS bad? Maybe I'm just older and more jaded.
