Now on the the marketing brilliance that we all are subjected to. Below are my top three favorite commercials from this year's superbowl advertisements. (Sidenote - did you know that for 30 seconds of an ad shown during this year's superbowl cost $3.01 million dollars)

True Meaning of Superbowl
This last weekend marks one of the biggest television events of the year, and I do love television. The Super Bowl, dun dun dun. I am a big fan of the sport and love all the build up for this one big game. However, my favorite part of Superbowl game day is the commercials. Now, I must give credit where it need be given. Congratulations New Orleans Saints!

Here Kitty Kitty
One day a year I love second to most next to Christmas is the beloved Cat/Griz game. Falling usually at the third weekend in November, the University of Montana Grizzlies take on the the Montana State Bobcats. This is the biggest rivalry game in the entire big sky conference. It is completely bad blooded as well. Once a Griz, always a Griz. Once a Bobcat, always a pussy.

This was the first year I was not able to watch the game in person. I did however attend a Satellite "party" of the game. In Seattle, it is held at a bar in downtown called Sluggers. I went with fellow alum, Heidi and Dooooonielle. We then meet up with a few of the other "recent grads" Deidre, Britney, and Katy.

The Griz beat the Cats!!! Woot woot. Not really a shocker. They have been playing 1897! the Cats have won 35 times. The Griz, however, have won a whooping 69 times! (*5 times they never played each other).
All and all, it was a GRIZ/cat weekend for the books. GO GRIZ!!!

Go Griz!
Football season is among us, and I am greatly missing the Griz games. However, this weekend I found a close second to being at the Washington-Grizzly Stadium cheering on the boys. A small dive bar in Kirkland.

The Alumni Association has the game on Satellite there for every game the griz play. I went and watched the game with a few fellow alumni/friends. It was refreshing to be surrounded by Griz diehards. The whole bar was packed with maroon!
On top of all that, the Griz won, in overtime.
GO GRIZ!
