Senior Challenge and Girl Talk

Yesterday was a big day for me. I had the kickoff party to the Senior Challenge campaign. I am the Chair of this year's campaign. The Senior Challenge is a fundraising campaign focused on the current class of Seniors. Its a great program that raises awareness of philanthropy while helping create funds for the University of Montana. Some people really don't get/like it. They feel that they have paid tuition for the past 4 years, and can't believe that we are asking for more money. These people clearly don't understand what the program does. They can designate the money the donate to any school or program that they would like to see do well. They way I see it is that someone is always going to be asking for your help and support. If you are able to help out others, why not? I'm excited to see how the rest of the campaign goes. The kickoff party to the campaign was last night at the Press Box. We had free drinks and appetizers. There was a pretty good turn out. More to come on the Senior Challenge.

After the kickoff party. I went to the boy's basketball game. We lost to Weber, who I think is #1 in the big sky conference. After the basketball game I went to one of the more fun concerts I have ever been to. It was a DJ called Girl Talk. He was AMAZING. He mixes lots of hip hop and other familiar songs together. Its great. I was really dancing up a storm! Its had to describe. You should check out his myspace. Pretty solid Thursday night. I, however, felt quite hung over all day today.

Valentine's Day 2009

This Valentine's Day, I did not have a "special someone" to spend my day with. So instead, I got with a few of my girl friends and painted the town red (pun not intended).

We started the night having a few mixed drinks at my friend Rachel's house. Then the night took us to the most random/crazy party. It was located in a bike shop. ??? They pushed all the bikes back, had a bubble machine, and techno "house" music playing by a DJ by the name of "Bike Doctor". Haha, kids where raving and dancing super crazy. It was unlike an party I had ever been to in Missoula.

We didn't stay at the bike party for very long, a little to far out there for us. We continued our night bar hopping downtown. It was a really fun night with the girls. I didn't feel sad that I wasn't with a guy, because a bunch of girls doing shots to SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE to much more fun for me right now then a stuffy dinner and a movie date.

Forester's Ball 2009

So a few weekends ago I went to my third Forester's ball. I missed my sophomore year. Forester's ball is a dance/event the the College of Forestry puts on every year. This year was the 92nd forester's ball. It is a huge party! The convert the gym into a forestry town, complete with a jail, giant slide, dance floor with a country band playing, and a booth to get married at. Mostly everyone is really drunk. I really enjoy my experience this year. I dress in my flannel and logging boots. This is definitely only a party you would find in Montana, but it is fantastic. In fact the party made playboy's top 10 parties in the 80s.
