The Jack

The Lumberjack. The name alone says enough about this bar. Located deep in the wilderness outside a little town called Lolo, MT, this bar is the epiphany of a what one would expect from a Montana bar. The front door is built into a tree. The entire place is made out of wood, don't you dare light a cig in this place. The decorations include chainsaws, stuffed jack rabbits, pictures of local logging heros. The highlight of "The Jack" is a swing seat built at right up at the bar. So fun! Who knew that a playground favorite would be a hit at a bar. However, strategically placed in front of the swing seat is a bell. A bell that as you swing in the seat is screaming at you, "reach up and ring me!" I was lucky enough to have been warned of the bells true meaning before my first visit to the Jack. The person who rings this bell has just volunteered to buy the entire bar a round. Very trick Lumberjacks! Marcy and I put on some good country tunes (from a jukebox!) and began to show the locals how us city girls can swing dance. There was pool, great beer, and our group of friends out numbered the locals. It was overall a great first experience of the Jack!

  1. Erin,
I was just leaving a comment on Ansley's blog, saw your name and clicked over. (Hope you don't mind. :) Anyways, you are gorgeous! Seriously, you should go try out for America's Next Top Model. Your profile picture looks like one that they would take, but you put the other models to shame! Looks like you are having a blast in college!
    Love,
