Lets start with my birthday. On April 27 I turned 22! The celebration went down at the Iron Horse Pub. It was a great turnout, about 30 of my close girl and guy friends
showed up (on a Monday I might add) to help be celebrate my day of birth. I had far too much fun. I was playing an air trombone around the bar, and later that night danced on a
table to.. no music. Needless to say, it was an amazing night.
The next big thing that I got to do was visit my besty, Liz Abend, at her graduation from Pepperdine. It was an amazing trip. I flew down to Malibu with her family. Walked around V
enice beach, which was.... an experience. Later that night listened to Liz deliver an amazing speak to her graduation class at their banquet. Hit up dance club, "Ch. 8" were we fended off creeps on the dance flow and I paid $40 for three drinks!!! Saturday was all about commencement services. Liz was the first to graduate (wooo!) Their stage was out side on a hill with the backdrop being the pacific ocean. The weather was beautiful. It was a great day! We flew back Sunday and I drove back to school. Ugh. Her graduation got me very excited for my own.
2 short weeks later it was my turn. Liz flew in on Wednesday. Marcy, her, and I went out to the Top Hat that night and enjoyed the live bands. Thursday was my last day of work. I may have shed a tear when I turned in my key. I'll miss you UM Foundation. Thursday was also my last day of college. The feeling as I left the business buil
ding was one of mixed emotions. But we celebrated with some shopping and 2-for-1 drink specials downtown that night. Friday was grad parties and the Miller clan rolling into town. Early to bed for a big day of graduating. Finally MAY 16 ARRIVED!!! My day was stressful, exciting, sad, and overwhelming. It was a picture taking, small tears, goodbyes, congrats, sweating, "cap head", and long speeches.
Later that night Marcy and I had our graduation party at the Press Box, all of our family and friends were there with us to celebrate. Overall it was an amazing weekend. More to come on life post-college!
